Hands down no question about it my favorite place in my home is my bedroom. I spend more time in my bedroom than any other room in the house. I have a lovely office but I still find myself writing my posts for House to Your Home while I’m in bed. When my husband travels for work my daughter and I spend hour after hour in my room watching How I Met Your Mother reruns and even sometimes eating our dinner in the room! (Don’t judge!)
Anyways because I spend so much time in my room I tend to redecorate my room or overanalyze things in my mind. (I’m not the only one right?)
This is what I see when I’m laying in my bed.
The vanity bench has always bothered me, just too matchy with the vanity skirt. So at like 11:30 p.m. on a night Drew was out of town I decided to paint the top of the bench with a little fabric paint and a stencil I had laying around.
Here’s how it turned out…
I like how it breaks up all the beige. So remember don’t be afraid to do something out of the box, if it doesn’t turn out you can always fix it right?! Don’t over think, just do!
