Meaningful Artwork
Last year for spring break we went to Hilton Head and took a day trip to Savannah, which happened to be my favorite part of our vacation. There is so much history to the city, the homes and gardens are so beautiful and we took a lot of photos. Here are 2 of the photos that my husband took while … Continue reading
Art Snob?
Me? Not so much! Except I’m not a fan of “artwork” that you can buy at department stores. I’d rather paint something myself or even hang my daughter’s artwork or hang postcards or photos, ok really anything but department store art. Art.com is a great place for affordable art for your home. This is where I’m totally not an art … Continue reading

(Traditional Home-Roy … Continue reading
A Local Favorite Artist
Kyle Ragsdale is one of my favorite local (Indianapolis) artist. I think his work is beyond incredible. His website explains his work perfectly. His artwork is left up for interpretation and also appear to be like something from a dream. His work is influence by many cool people and things, like Bjork, Radiohead, 60s textiles and one of my favorites … Continue reading
Entomology As Art
Entomology is the study of insects. I am not a bug lover like most girls out there but I love entomology illustrations and artwork. When I went to the Indianapolis Home Show a few weeks ago, I noticed some butterflies and insects scattered throughout the house. (Blurry iphone sorry!) I have been working on putting together an inspiration board for … Continue reading
New Year’s Resolution – Etsy Being One of Them
A personal resolution for me this year was to start buying more interesting and unique items for my house and less Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and of course my favorite Target a.k.a. Targeeeeey! Don’t get me wrong I love those stores but that’s probably my problem I love them too much. Of course a great place to buy unique … Continue reading
Make Your Own Artwork
This is a painting I did a few years ago for Drew. He has it hanging in his office now. I used regular household paint to do it. I simply used the paint I used to paint his office and added black and white. He says, its his favorite gift from me, and I’m going to pretend to believe it.
