Welcome to my furniture page! To give you a little insight on why I decided to start “saving” furniture it came from a need to find a creative outlet. Up until recently I have always lived in older homes that always required me to think outside the box to come up with creative solutions to make my older home look up to date without taking away the charm of it being an older home.
When I moved into my new home I felt a little lost. I will admit I really like living in a new house, it seems to stay cleaner and things don’t seem to be constantly breaking but the house was missing the charm that came with an older home.
This is when I started really getting into older furniture. I love how well-built furniture was back in the day and it has character that new furniture seems to be missing. I thought I could work the same design principals on the furniture that I had always done with my older homes.
Incorporating the older furniture into my new home has given my new home the character and warmth it was seriously lacking and after all it’s all about making your house a home right?
So one thing has led to another and now I’m finding, refinishing and bringing furniture back to life for others and it seems like I’m not the only one who loves an old piece of furniture that has been brought back to life.
I’m currently working on an “online store” for the blog but for now please enjoy some pieces that are in my home or have been sold to customers.
If you’d like to know the backstory to some of the pieces I’ve linked back to the story so please click and check it out!
I’m always adding new pieces to my furniture page so please feel free to check back often!

HI! I”m Martha Doyle’s cousin…she gave me your site to browse! I love to fix up our house too and love thrifting, etc…I have an eye but sometimes…have a hard time with ideas etc…I’m doing my tween daughter’s bathroom over/also serves as the pool bath…we just did her room in a purple with zebra print accents…and that room still just is missing something but I don’t know what…maybe I can share photos of it with you…of course I’m always trying to better things in the house. We moved in 5 years ago and I love this house! I have my room and bathroom to re-do or make it a spectacular space…I’m on facebook and do have some pics of the house. What I’ve seen on the blog is AWESOME and I wish I had half your skill…I can do it, if someone tells me what to do, sometimes I see potential in repurposing and do a good job…anyway, you’re busy and that’s how I get but would love any suggestions! THANKS! I put you on my favorites and can’t wait to see what else you do!!!! Christa Tomczak
